Opening the Mac Dumpsters (Old Style)

1. Remove the locking pin – The first thing you’ll want to do is slide the pin upward and out of the way so that the latch can move freely.
2. Undo the safety chain – Next, you’ll disconnect the chain that keeps the door secured during transport.
3. Lift the latch – After undoing the chain, you’ll pull the latch upward to release the door mechanism.
4. Reinsert the pin to hold the latch open – You’ll then slide the pin back into place so that the latch stays lifted and doesn’t fall while you open the door.
5. Open the dumpster door – With the latch secured and out of the way, swing the door fully open so that you can access the container and you’ll be all set!
